users report settlement lag from fifteen minutes to several hours and frequent rejections with no diagnostic error code.”@r/PersonalFinanceCanada“Canadian user warns others away after funds were held and support repeatedly demanded selfies with identification without ever clearing the compliance flag.”@r/Brazil“Paysend versus Remitly thread for transfers above 3k; includes a report of a 120 dollar charge to the funding card for a transfer that never appeared in-app, a week of support silence, and a month-long bank fraud claim.”@r/synthesizers“Marketplace fraud warning noting that Paysend declines refunds or chargeback intervention once a card-to-card transfer has been authenticated by the sender.”@r/UKPersonalFinance“Thread on routing money from a credit card to a debit card through Paysend to sidestep cash advance fees, exactly the pattern that tends to trigger AML review.”@r/Netherlands“Users discuss draining large balances from Serbian accounts through Paysend to avoid SWIFT fees, with peers warning about tax authority scrutiny and regulatory flagging.”@r/PersonalFinanceCanada“Report of transfers to a Dubai Visa debit card arriving twice, with duplicate credits labelled as a Visa refund days later, pointing to a payment gateway routing glitch.”@r/biltrewards“Thread cited for breakdowns in the automatic refund path, where unaccepted transfers were not returned and users had to pursue chargebacks through their own bank.”@Paysend (with Visa)“Corporate video promoting cross-border transfers over Visa rails, used as evidence of the card-number-only send flow that avoids IBANs and routing codes.”@Paysend“Short promoting China transfers into UnionPay accounts by entering only the recipient card number.”@Paysend“Tutorial for the Request Money feature, which sends a payment link by SMS and is highlighted by cross-border freelancers as a lightweight invoicing tool.”@Paysend“Overview of how the transfer flow works; comment sections beneath these corporate videos carry the organic warnings about irreversible sends and FX markups.”@PAYSEND : Test and Avis (FR)“French-language hands-on test praising transfer speed and low flat fees while flagging verification delays and rate transparency.”@Financial Ombudsman Service“Decision on a job-task scam: because the customer authorised the card payments, Paysend was not held liable and the loss stayed entirely with the victim.”@Financial Ombudsman Service“Decision covering a delayed transfer that exposes the internal 24 to 48 hour service level for manual limit increases and document checks, against marketing claims of instant delivery.”@Financial Ombudsman Service“Decision on Code 57 declines, where the block originated at the customer own card issuer rather than Paysend, a common source of misdirected complaints.”@FCA Register“Regulatory entry confirming authorised e-money institution status, the basis for safeguarded balances rather than FSCS deposit protection.”@The Fintech Times“Trade coverage of the Libre launch framing it as faster remittance access for unbanked recipients across Latin America.”@Financial IT“Coverage of the Alipay technology partnership extending wallet payout coverage for global remittances.”@The Times of Israel“Report on the Okoora partnership as Paysend expands local-market FX and payout routing capability.”@Forge Global“Private-market profile tracking funding history and IPO timing speculation, useful for corporate context rather than user experience.”@Wise“Competitor-run breakdown of card fees documenting the flat 2% FX markup on spending outside held balances and the 2% ATM fee beyond the free monthly allowance.”@Wise“Guide to transfer limits, including the low ceilings that apply before full identity verification is completed.”@Wise“Adjacent guide used to compare how receiving flows work across e-money providers.”@Google Play - Paysend: Send Money Home“Main store listing where reviews split between praise for speed and transparent pre-execution pricing and complaints about funds frozen mid-transfer.”@Google Play reviewers (Peter M., Albert R., Ali H.)“English review feed with recent entries: a year of good service ending in an unresolved failure and no support phone number, a month-long identity block, and an eight-day pending transfer with repeated demands for unusual documentation.”@Google Play - Paysend UIA: LuloX“Listing for a regional Paysend app variant, evidence of localised builds running on the same transfer rails.”@Trustpilot (AU, UK and EU domains)“Aggregate sitting around 4.1 to 4.2 from more than 41,000 reviews across regional domains, with the negative tail dominated by compliance holds and slow support.”@JustUseApp“Third-party mirror of iOS review sentiment for the mobile app, echoing the split between fast routine sends and stuck transfers.”@PissedConsumer“Complaint board collecting disputes over held funds, failed transfers and unreachable support.”@Smart Money People“UK review platform with mixed ratings: quick routine transfers set against heavy friction once verification escalates.”@Better Business Bureau“Complaint file for the US entity, weighted toward transfer delays and refund disputes.”@Currency Expert“Independent review covering fees, limits and verification steps, noting modest caps for unverified accounts.”@BitDegree“Review balancing fast card-to-card delivery against the margin built into the quoted exchange rate.”@Money Transfer Comparison“Comparison-site assessment of corridors, delivery speed and total cost against rival remittance providers.”@Monito“Rate-comparison review flagging that the flat fee alone understates true cost once the exchange rate margin is counted.”@Comparism“Review summarising product scope, supported destinations and the published fee structure.”@MoneyTransfers.com“Provider profile covering payout methods, limits and typical delivery times by corridor.”@Finder Canada“Canadian market profile detailing fees, transfer options and eligibility requirements.”@BestMoney“Consumer review site scoring the service well for convenience while noting the limits of its support model.”@Exiap Brasil“Portuguese-language review for the Brazil corridor comparing rate margins with local alternatives.”@Exiap France“French-language review covering fees and delivery expectations for senders in the EU.”@RFP.wiki“Head-to-head vendor comparison of Paysend against Kast on pricing, coverage and enterprise API capability.”@Transumo“Long-form pros and cons review flagging the gap between advertised flat fees and the cost actually realised.”@Business Model Canvas Research“Marketing mix analysis of positioning, pricing and distribution, useful for how the product is sold rather than how it performs.”

Physical Paysend Mastercard scores 4.7/10 across 48 community sources, and the first fact frames everything else: the plastic card is a legacy product. Paysend stopped issuing new plastic cards to UK/EEA users registering from 8 June 2023 onward and now only services cards already in circulation, redirecting demand to virtual issuance and to Paysend Libre, an SMS-delivered virtual Mastercard built with Mastercard Move for the US-to-Latin America remittance corridor. Praise is consistent but narrow: flat upfront transfer fees (around GBP 1 / EUR 1.50 / USD 2, with some zero-fee corridors), card-to-card settlement in minutes using only a 16-digit recipient card number across 170+ countries, payout into regional wallets such as GCash, bKash and Alipay, and a genuinely clean app - roughly 4.2 on Google Play across about 181,000 reviews, near 4.8 on iOS, and 4.1-4.2 on Trustpilot from 41,000+ reviews - that shows the fee, live rate and delivery estimate before you confirm. The economics are less generous than the marketing. Spending outside a held currency balance triggers a flat 2% FX markup, ATM withdrawals past roughly GBP 200 / EUR 220 a month add another 2%, independent reviewers put a further 0.5-1.5% spread inside the quoted rate, and the plastic card historically carried a one-off issuance fee near GBP 5 - leaving it uncompetitive against mid-market alternatives for travel or daily spending. There is no cashback, points or crypto reward of any kind, only a nominal fiat referral bonus. The recurring failure mode is compliance: as an FCA-regulated e-money institution, Paysend runs automated AML monitoring that freezes accounts and transfers without warning, and threads on Reddit, Google Play and Trustpilot document eight-day pending transfers, repeated selfie and ID demands, and month-long blocks against an internal 24-48 hour review window confirmed in Financial Ombudsman rulings. Two structural risks are poorly understood by users. Balances are safeguarded at partner banks but are not covered by FSCS, so insolvency would leave holders as unsecured creditors; and because card-to-card sends are authorised push payments, ombudsman decision DRN-5759875 confirms Paysend is not liable when a customer is socially engineered into sending funds, with job-task and marketplace scams recurring across Reddit and YouTube comments and no route to recovery. Support is the weakest dimension by a distance: email-only ticketing with no phone line, waits stretching past a week, and scripted replies arriving exactly when funds are frozen. Two points are genuinely contested across sources and worth verifying in-app for your own country - how transparent the FX spread really is, and precisely which regions and registration dates can still obtain a card.
